Jay's first day of Preschool

Jay had his first day of Preschool! We were all so excited and nervous at the same time. Jay really just couldn't wait for preschool. He talked about it every day all summer long. I think I was more nervous about the whole thing then he was. That morning we got up early to get ready for school, then took a few pictures and off to preschool we went. When we first pulled up to the preschool Jay wanted me to let him out and leave. He kept telling me that he was going to school by himself. He didn't want me to be there anymore. It made me kind of sad that he didn't want me there. When we got inside the school Jay decided that he didn't want me to leave... he sure does know how to mess with my emotions.... first he doesn't want me there so I'm sad, then he doesn't want me to leave so I'm sad again! It was hard leaving him there, but I did. I called Jason right when I was leaving crying on the phone. I was happy and sad all at the same time! Then I had 2 whole hours of waiting to see how the first day went... boy did it seem like forever for those 2 hours to pass. When I got there he was so excited to see me. It seemed like everything went good for the first day. He got to sing songs, make picture faces, have snacks, and watch a short movie. Jay can't wait to go back! Jay's face he made (the string is his hair)

A day at the playground

They just finished the new school by our house so Jay and I decided to go check out the new playground. Jay is getting so brave he wanted to try everything there. He even wanted to try the monkey bars, with my help of course! Jay loves to climb up the slide and then go back down on his tummy head first... made me so nervous the first time!

Monster Jam!

For my birthday this year instead of having a party I decided to go to the Monster Jam! Jay has been talking about going to the monster trucks for months now. He was really excited to see the real monster trucks. He has seen them several times on tv or the internet. His favorite truck is Grave Digger. We all had a really good time!

Walker Family Reunion in Wyoming!

We had a family reunion with the Walker family in Wyoming at Jason's brother Jim and wife Theresa beautiful home. We got to go to a rodeo while we were there, that was really exciting! Theresa feed us a ton of GREAT food! We also got to take there 4 wheelers out. That was Jay's first time on a 4 wheeler and he really loved it. We really enjoyed our time there in Wyoming. Thanks Jim and Theresa for letting us stay at your home, feeding us such good food, and taking such good care of us while we were there!

Ogden 5K Marathon!

This year I ran the Ogden 5K Marathon with a good friend of mine from work Willie. It was freezing cold in the morning when we got there. The race started at 7:00am in the morning at the mouth of Ogden canyon. Once we started the run you warmed up. We had a really good time. Willie ran it in 26.50 mins and I did it in 34.14 mins! Can't wait for the next one!

Jay's first bike!

Well what we thought was going to be Jay's 3rd birthday gift came a little early this year! We broke down and bought him a bike. Everytime I go to Walmart and we go pass the bike section Jay shouts out "mom I wanna ride bikes." So I thought I would give him a chance to ride a bike in Walmart. It totally came natural to him... Jay hopped right on the bike and started riding it in the store. After a couple of times and going to the store and letting him ride the bikes we broke down and decided to take one home with us. Besides I think the Walmart clerks were getting sick of this crazy lady coming into the store to let her kid ride there bikes for free all the time.
I know the helmet looks s a little small for Jay, but he refuses to wear the bigger helmet... I'm just glad he is wearing a helmet to ride his bike. Everyday he wants to go out and ride his bike.

Easter Weekend!

Our Easter weekend started at the Jensen's house we all had dinner together. Andrea made pork salads that was just like a Cafe Rio salad. They were really good...can't wait to have them again (thanks Andrea)! After dinner we all colored easter eggs. Jay was into coloring eggs this year more then last year. Then Jason and the kids wrestled around in the living room for a bit. Easter morning I woke up early to make breakfast and get the pork in the crock pot for easter dinner. We had to wake Jay up in the morning... he said he was tired and wanted to sleep. Finally after waking Jay up and eating breakfast we opened up our baskets and watched Jay find all the eggs that the easter bunny hid. After cleaning up we took Jay outside to play with some of the things he got in his easter basket: bubbles, chalk, etc... Then later that day we went over to my sister Kim's house and had a easter egg hunt with my family. All the kids were running around trying to find all of the eggs. Thanks Kim for having that at your house! When then went home to have a easter diner with Jason's brother Jon. It was a really good day!

Fun with Friends

Last weekend our good friends the Woods came into town. We went over to there friends house that they were staying at for a BBQ. We all had a really good time hanging out and catching up. Jay had a really good time playing with all the kids. Jay really missed his Kass and Maddi. He is always asking me when we are going to there house.

One sticky mess!

About a week ago when Jay was at Andrea's they made ice pops. Jay took his home with us and really wanted to eat it on the way home. I thought I had him covered enough in napkins so it wouldn't make a mess or stain his white t-shirt he was wearing. It was about half way home when I realized it wasn't such a good idea to let him eat it on the way home... it was melting faster then he could eat the ice pop.

Thomas the Train and friends!

We told Jay 2 weeks ago that if he would learn how to go potty on the big potty and wear big boy underwear, we would take him to go see Thomas and friends with my sister Kim and her son Teancum. Well he held up his end of the bargin and he is now going potty on the big potty and wearing big boy underwear. We are so proud of him and how well he has been doing. So tonight we went to go see Thomas and friends. Jay and Teancum really loved the whole show. We couldn't even get Jay to look at the camera to take a picture because he was too busy watching Thomas!
